Will the GH3 controllers for the wii be compatible with Rock Band for the wii?

I know at least with the Xbox 360, that the GH3 guitar works with rockband, but the rockband stuff will not work with GH3. Im not sure why that is, but anyway, I have been told that the wii works the same way.
