I didn't know your local Gamestop was developing Guitar Hero games?

Unless they are on the dev team, they don't "know" anything. I know a lot of cool people that work for different game stores, but even when they "hear" stuff, it's not always accurate.

All we know right now is that Activision has said they are working with Nintendo to get downloadable songs on Guitar Hero for the Wii. They said it will happen sometime in 2008.

However, you have to understand that they are not offering that many songs for the PS3 or Xbox 360 either. They may abandon the idea altogether, since they are going to make Guitar Hero a yearly franchise.

In reality, that's a better deal. You'll get 70+ songs for $60, rather than 3-packs songs for $6.25 (or $150 for 70 songs).
