Confirmed: No online play for Wii Guitar Hero III

The president and co-founder of RedOctane has confirmed that there will definitely be no online option for the Wii version of Guitar Hero III initially, but there definitely are online modes for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. He did provide mild hope by stating that the team is working with Nintendo to see how they can get some online features in later on for the Wii.

This is incorrect! There was a miscommunication. There WILL be online gameplay for the Wii at launch, you just won't be able to download songs since they have to set it up through the Wii shop.
