The roster builds as four new fighters arrive
Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution is shaping up to be a killer anime fighter for Nintendo Wii, and IGN has teamed up with D3 Publisher and the Tomy Corporation to give you a front-row seat to the action leading up to its release. Twice a week until the game hits shelves we'll be featuring a list of fighters in our returning roster reveal feature. Much like the character unveiling for GameCube's Clash of Ninja 2, we'll be featuring information on each spotlighted fighter, as well as exclusive art and screens. This time around, however, you'll also be getting a gameplay trailer for each battler as well, as Clash of Ninja Revolution features more depth and strategy to its fighters any previous version. Rock Lee

Rock Lee is in the same squad as Neji and Tenten, who are both one year ahead of Naruto and his squad. Though his Ninjutsu and Genjutsu skills are pathetic, his Taijutsu is outstanding as a result of his constant training. From his hairstyle to the admiration he has for his sensei, everything about Lee is intense. Like Naruto, he too is in love with Sakura.

Unique Attributes: Rock Lee's strength is in his ability to open the Gate of Life, giving him the ability to use his Hidden Lotus jutsu. With enough chakra each time, holding down while pressing the jutsu activation button allows Lee to open his chakra gates. Doing this twice allows him to open the Gate of Life, making the Hidden Lotus available. However, after opening the Gate of Life his health will deteriorate extremely fast as his chakra builds at an enormous rate. This is a risky technique but could pay off hugely if landed because the Hidden Lotus is incredibly powerful and will devastate your opponent.
Lee shares a lot of the Whirlwind attacks that Guy uses, which are effective against groups of enemies. Try using the Leaf Whirlwind (down + strong attack) or Leaf Hurricane (forward + strong attack) in 4-player battles.

Neji Hyuga

Neji is in the same squad as Rock Lee and Tenten. He is Hinata's cousin and a genius, but feels constrained to the branch family of the Hyuga Clan. Neji uses the "Byakugan" Kekkei Genkai: a bloodline trait handed down genetically within the Hyuga Clan. His special techniques are the "8 Trigrams Palms Rotation" and the "8 Trigrams 64 Palms."

Unique Attributes: Neji's 64 Palms jutsu not only does a ferocious combination of hits but also drains chakra from his opponent.
Pressing back on the nunchuk and the strong attack button just before being attacked executes Neji's unique 64 Palms Rotation counter attack that blows his enemy back with a burst of chakra. It even works at repelling oncoming kunai!
Shikamaru Nara

Shikamaru is in the same class as Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura, he is teamed up with Ino and Choji. Though lazy and lacking motivation, he scored a 200 on his IQ test. Coupled with his habit of complaining, his special jutsu is "Shadow Possession Jutsu."

Unique Attributes: It doesn't seem like it at first, since he's always walking around slowly with his hands in his pockets, but Shikamaru's strength comes from his amazing combination agility. By pressing back and strong attack Shikamaru will go into his meditative stance. From there you can control him with strong or weak attacks that will bring you instantly within melee proximity of your opponent, wherever they might be.
Shikamaru's secondary jutsu, the Shadow Drop Jutsu, can be executed by pressing down and the jutsu button. This is especially useful in mediating the pace of the battle, even more so in a 4-player battle, because it works on all of the opponents on screen.
Jiraiya

Jiraiya is one of the legendary "Sannin," known as the great Toad Sage for his ability to summon giant toads. He is free-spirited and rambunctious, but he watches over Naruto with a warm heart. Jiraiya is extremely fond of women and his rugged demeanor can melt away at the mere sight of a girl. His perv-power and passion for what he calls "researching" women is truly unparalleled.

Unique Attributes: Pressing forward and strong attack executes Jiraiya's flamethrower-like attack. But with enough chakra in storage, holding the strong attack button allows Jiraiya to maintain the long flame at the cost of chakra. With a full bar of chakra available, the flamethrower can do a brutal combo by itself.
Jiraiya's Needle Jizo technique is very handy at repelling an oncoming attack (back + strong attack).
The Earth Style: Dark Swamp jutsu can be aimed at Jiraiya's enemy without range limits. If the enemy finds its advantage from far away, try subduing them momentarily with this by pressing down and strong attack.
