How Is Luminous Arc?

I'm REALLY itching to buy a new DS game, and I'm a little edgy with the Lunar Series so I'm putting those aside for now.

I'm looking at Luminous Arc. I like my RPGs and all, but I swear to God, if this is another male-protagonist-surrounded-by-gorgeous-females-who-all-happen-to-be-crushing-on-him game I'm going to shoot a chair... or worse yet, something animate.

Does anyone have this game? How is the longetivity and all that good jazz? I don't trust official reviews, I'd rather hear from players who aren't payed to review it, y'know?
