2 new DS games that have Wi-Fi built in. *shocked for real*
|
|
Ok, so I went by my Meijer (the one with the red ring of death X-360 that they still haven't fixed.) and found a Nintendo Catalog for 2007. I start to read it and to my surprise, the new Legend of Zelda game is going to be Wi-Fi enabled. So I did a quick flip threw to see if there any more shockers. Then I found out that Mario Party is coming to the DS and will have Wi-Fi play as well! Just throwing that out there for people to know.

Wi-Fi means it gets to go online and you play against other players.

It depends on what you want to do on your system, or which is more important.
The PSP is Online accessible straight out of the box, but it seems from personal experience, that the link on the PSP side seems a little weak. It also allows you to download moves and emulators and Roms if you buy a big enough SD card. You can get movies for the PSP, but only a handful are good.
The DS is online accessible after you purchase the browser from nintendo, but is less likely to disconnect from personal experience. You get an intuitive and unique control scheme, but that does take a little while to get used to. You may not get movies, but if you are close enough, you can chat with other DS people close by with Pictochat. DS has tons of stamina when it comes to battery life.
If you are a fan of Nintendo or enjoy simple, and wish to have a portable gaming device, get a DS. If you are a fan of Sone or want a portable way to surf the internet without buying a laptop, get a PSP. I hope this helps.

Ok... I think I might have worded it a little funny. I meant that you can play games online right away, but if you are looking to surf the internet, THAT takes an extra little piece of software that cost around $30.

yes, both need a wireless connection to acsess the internet, you can use a wireless router for either, but the DS also has the wifi usb connecter option, i don't know if sony has something like this for the psp or not, I don't have a psp.
is the DS internet browser even released in the US? i know it is in europe but i haven't played my DS in... forever loli've heard the psp's n64 emulator works really well.
I like the Ds more, you don't really need the internet on a hand held in my oppinion. except for online gaming of course.
