Updating your Wii via the internet.

I was wondering...

when you're updating your Wii's firmware via the internet and you got disconnected (for whatever reason), what would happen to your Wii? Would the firmware of the console be rolled back to it's previous version? Or would your console bricked?

It is still the older one untill you update it fully.

yeah, that happened to me on the most recent update it got about 1/4 the way downloaded/installed then the wii lost it's connection to the internet I just had to reset my router (which was the problem in the first place) and I could still update it with no problems

Ah... what happened when you got disconnected? Were you alerted that the connection was lost?

My experience when i updated my firmware to 3.1U was that around 60% of the update, my Wii stopped downloading/installing the firmware. No alert, no nothing so i just forced reset my console. After booting up, my firmware version was updated to 3.1U.

mine did say it lost connection but mine did stop downloading for about 4/5 minutes while I debated whether or not to hard reset the console then it came up with the error and I had to reset my router

nothing happen to ur wii, stil old fw.
it will show a message after certain time of connection idle
