Online Communities

Hello, I am working on a project and I am doing research on the online communities for Nintendo, Microsoft, and other online communities such as World of Warcraft.

In discussing Nintendo's general feelings towards it's online capabilities, about how there is an extremely limited service, for free, that they are feeling great about it.

If anyone wants to express their own feelings towards Nintendo's Wi-Fi, whether you like the Friend Codes, whether you would pay money for a better service such as the Friend system in Xbox 360, etc, I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you for your time.

I'd love to help you out.

Many people hate the freind codes, as it makes adding freinds limited to things like the wii register (google it) or forums such as this one. though it makes finding people you really want as freinds easier to find. I do not think anyone would pay cash for an Xbox-Live-like freinds system, but Nintendo has announced that in te future some titles will require a monthly fee to play online with their Wii pay and play feature in the pipe.

so basically the "free" is redundant now, as the better games will undoutably require wii pay and play accounts to play online on.

the omission of rooms lists for games like SSBB is vey bad for wii's online gaming, as if you search it can take upwards of a minute (on games like GH III) to find and connect to a game, room/game lists would probably be much better than the current system.
