The batteries might have a problem. Are they the rechargable kind or straight out of the package? Sometimes the Wii remote might blink 4 lights but the batteries are actually close to dead.

There is a way to finetune your wiimote in the wii options menu. mine was playing up a bit but i 'tuned' it and it has been working good for months now. Go looking in your settings/ options menu from the home menu and just fiddle around till you find a setting that works. One other thing..there is nothing blocking the signal between the wiimote and the sensor bar? Like a picture frame on the coffee table? If anything even remotely looks like being in the way , move it.
