I personally love the game. While it doesn't have any adventuring aspects like the GCN or handheld Pokemon titles, the game is quite fun. Maybe its just me but I love seeing the Pokemon that I worked hard to raise, battling it out in 3D, earning rewards and points so that I can buy new items or various other prizes.
Additionally the Wifi is a bonus, as you can test your mettle against trainers from around the world to see how you stack up. Though personally I think that Wifi is fun, its just a distraction and the most fun can be had from the different battle modes.
the one thing I was most dissapointed about was that unlike the N64 Stadium titles PBR did not have any minigames.
So as one Poke-fan to another I definately recommend PBR.
