SNES vs. Wii - what games are similar to these?

I am a new Wii owner. Back in the day, I owned a SNES (Super Nintendo) and I loved it. Anyway, my favorite games for my SNES were Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario Kart. Can someone out there in Yahoo! Answers-land recommend some similar games to either of the games I mentioned above? Does the Wii website have either of these two games for the Wii? I know that a new Mario Kart is coming out in April. I was just wondering whether I could find something similar now. Thanks in advance for your help!

There will be a Mario Kart Wii coming out this year. In the Virtual Console, you can get the original Mario Kart.

You can also get Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 on the Virtual Console. I'm not sure if 3 has been released yet. It's been several weeks since I last checked the Virtual Console.

The game that's closest to Donkey Kong Country that's available now is Super Paper Mario. It's sort of a 2D side scroller with a 3D mode available.

Don't think there's going to be a DC4 because Rare, the company that made the game, left Nintendo and got bought up by MS.

Nothings Similar now to Mario Kart.

I would check out Super Mario Galaxies as well as Zack and Wiki for your adventure fix.

In the wii shopping channel you can get all the donkey kong country games..and mario 1,2,3 and super mario world...mario 64..mario kart 64
You have to buy a wii points card..I got mine at game stop or eb games whatever you have there. There usually sold out at walmart around me tho..Somew games that i love on the wii are....mario galaxy...REAL FUN....and legend of zelda twilight princess..super smash brothers brawl will be out soon...as well as mario kart for the wii....they have some new game with donkey kong out on the wii called Donkey Kong barrel blast...check that out its a Donkey Kong game...Hope this helped..Peace

Mario Kart 64 is on the VC as are the Donkey Kong Country games, Mario Galaxy is the best platform game on the wii at the moment.
