Does the Wii graphics look the same as gamecube graphics or did it improve?

dude the wii graphics is like 100000000x better than game cube !

So far, because most games aven't had much work put into them, they look more like PS2 games.

But from a hardware perspective, the Wii has a Gamecube graphics chip, overclocked by about 50% and having a few extra functions. Also, since they are using full-sized disks, they don't have to compress the textures the way they did for Gamecube. So a game making use of this (like Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime 3) looks about twice as good as the best Gamecube games.

Just look at Zelda and RE4, they both look better on the wii, technically the wii hardware is superior to the GC in terms of specs, but not many early games show this off, the developers where no doubt more concerned with getting the controls right, but some of the more recent games like Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 are clearly better looking than anything on the GC.

Zelda looks exactly the same on both systems, but Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy are noticeably better than any Gamecube game.

Graphics aint all that, everyone says that the wii aint got good graphics! It's the game play that counts and having to jump about and wave your arms around and when the next day your arms ache so bad. Instead of just sitting there on your sofa playing PS3 the only time you have to move is to go to the toilet. Wii is the best by far

yup... obviously wii's focus isn't on graphic at all, and it looks better than gamecube of course! especially if you hook it via 480p

It improved, not by too much though. Using a component cable helps when you have a larger TV though.

The Wii's graphics are better then the Gamecube's. You can easily see the difference on a game that is on both Wii and Gamecube. I would say, most games on Wii actually look like the PS2's graphics, but some Wii titles just don't stand out that much.
