Can a NTSC formatted game work on a PAL wii console?

I just bought Super Paper Mario on the Wii from ebay, it hasnt come yet and i read on the details in fine print: NTSC Format (US, Canada). Will it still work on my Wii?

Yes. The language might not work correctly depending on the language format you got.....
