Yes,
If you have a new motherboard in your wii you need a Wiikey.
Im getting 1 installed tomorrow by a profesional. It cost me $110. There is also another mod chip.

DO NOT TRY TO INSTALL ONE YOURSELF IF YOU ARE HOPELESS WITH ELECTRONICS!!!!

I just came across a site that sends you a Nintendo Wii for free! I'm ordering mine right now, can't wait to kick my friends asses in Wii Sports :)
