If you check Gamestop.com, the website is receiving the materials for its bundles on 1/29/08. That suggests that Wiis will be available at Gamestop on 1/29/08. That is a Tuesday if I'm not mistaken. I'm thinking that Wiis will be in stock at other stores such as Best Buy prior to that on Sunday (i.e 1/27/08).

Lots of online stores have wii's in stock but most are selling bundles only. Prices are around $350.00 and up. You can check these wii finders to see who has them in stock.

Hopefully Nintendo will stop being lazy and ship more, just keep checking stores each week.

President Iwata showed a soft side when Fuji made note of press coverage suggesting that product shortages were a part of Nintendo's strategy. "[When I see those types of articles], I honestly feel sad," said Iwata. "Game machine production amounts are set about half a year in advance, so they cannot be easily changed. The concept of the Wii is 'a machine that makes people who play it smile.' We wouldn't use a strategy that is at odds with smiling. Getting as many people as possible to show us their smiles when playing a Nintendo game -- that's the energy source that drives us."

I'm having the same problem you are. I absolutely refuse to buy these ridiculous Wii bundles and if that means I never buy a Wii or wait 6 months, so be it.

I'm hoping Best Buy will have some non-bundled ones in stock this Sunday (1/27/08). I seriously doubt it though. It also looks as if getting one from Amazon is impossible. My biggest wish is that the stores get flooded with Wii's and all these eBay morons selling Wii's for $200 above list price end up holding the bag.
