Problem with Wii wi-fi USB?

For the past two hours I have been trying to connect the nintendo wi-fi usb. I have downloaded the latest version, I have the installation disc the usb and I do everything as I am supposed to but then at the end of the installation it tells me I need to connect my usb. I have windows XP. I done the installation wizard for the USB connection and it recognized it when I plugged it in.....has any one had this problem or know a solution to this. Thanks in advance!

Do you have your Firewall turned off or in the wrong jack? If you got it in the wrong jack in that is why, but if the firewall is turned on it can block the Wifi USB connector. Go to support.nintendo.com if you need more help.
