The Musicians

Usually, only about 2-3 musicians are called upon to arrange music for a new game. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a huge exception. For this game, a grand total of 34 musicians have been brought together! Masahiro Sakurai has asked each one of them to pick a old Nintendo song that best suit their personality and tastes. Here, you will find the list of the musicians gathered and a sample of their previous works.

Akihiro Honda
Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)

Arata Iiyoshi
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (DS) - Main Theme

Asuka Ohta
New Super Mario Bros. (DS) - Walking the Plains

Hajime Wakai

My Music / Sound Test

My Music

My Music is a new mode featured in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It allows you to adjust the many songs that can be played in a stage during a match. Here you can change the settings in how often a song appears during battles, or which you want on or off. The songs include new remixes of old Nintendo tunes, or untouched melodies from the past.

But the songs aren't all there in the beginning. You must Collect CDs during your adventure or battles.

CD

"Mama Mia! A CD!"

They may appear in any mode at any time. So make sure you collect them to increase your music collection!

Sound Test

In Melee, the Sound Test mode had to be unlocked before in can be used. Now, it can be accessed from the get go.

You can view the credits, too!

This time, the selections are more organized, as you can now pick the series and then the song that you want to hear, making things a whole lot easier.

Of course, you can hear the voices and sound effects of the characters too.

"Yahoo!"

Keep in mind, though. You have to unlock things first in order to listen in this mode.
