fastnc: you are incorrect.

shgyap5675: You must un-zip the file for it to work

When I try to copy the save file in the SD card to Wii system memory, I face a problem ! A message prompt out stated " The game must be play first before it could copy into Wii machine system memory"

How to resolve this issue ?

Thank you.

Try this, play the game first and save your progress. So now your Wii memory has the game's save data (the one you saved), now try to copy the save file in the SD card to Wii system.

of course, by using lovingwii's suggestion you must DELETE your progress off of your wii system after you have the file on your SD card to copy to your wii, here's an easy way to make all of the correct folder stuctures perfectly.

1. play the game you want a save for, then save your data, and allow the game to make a save on your wii.

2. slide your SD card into the wii's slot untill it clicks, that means it's in all of the way.

3. go to the wii menu

4. select the wrench icon (options)

5. select data management

6. select saved games (I think that's what it says, but I'm banned frpm my wii for the moment) if there's nothing that says game saves, click wii then saves

7. select the save for the game you want to get a new save for.

8. click copy to SD card

9. once it's copied pull the SD card out (push it in then let it slide out to get it out.)

10. put the SD card into a USB SD card reader, or a printer that can read them that's hooked up to your PC or into a camera you can hook up to your PC.

11. go to My Computer (on windows)

12. select the camera/printer/SD card from the window that comes up

13. go to private then to wii, now your save's game cod eshould be on a folder, if you have multiple saves on the SD card check the post here with te save you want for the correct folder.

14. move te file called data.bin out of the folder to somewhere where you know what it is as a backup

15. download te wii save you want from here, and open the .zip file it probably came in and follow the flders (if there are any) to the file called data.bin

16. copy that data.bin to the folder for the game save you want on your SD card.

17. remove SD card from your PC and insert it into the wii.

18. delete the save data from your WII SYSTEM MEMORY for the game you are getting the new save for

19. copy te correct/new save from the SD card to our wii system memory.

20. launch your game and load the data from the wii system memory.

you now are playing with the new save!

(PLEASE NOTE, some games like Endless Ocean/Forever Blue and Smash Bros Brawl can not have save data copied.)

I follow the instruction provided above strictly but, the moment copy the save file from SD card to Wii system memory a failure occurs with message "the file was not copied".

I had trial many times but end up with same message.

Anyone got ideal how to resolve it ?

Thank you.

does that game already have a save on your console? if so delete the old save from te wii memory then try copying the new gamesave to the wii

also make sure the save is the same regeon as the wii, a PAL save will not wok on a US wii and so on
