I ran into the same problem... i can barely say anymore to you but this:
Read the instructions given on the first post CAREFULLY and do it step by step to get the correct folder with the correct contents.
You have to do some double-clicking and dragging folders from one place to another and eventually you'll have it.

I can't seem to get it to work. I placed it in the correct spot on SD card. Put in Wii and it shows up. When I go to copy (I already deleted the one of the wii) it tries but then says it was not copied. It appears as it should but won't copy. Any thoughts.

The only thing I can think of is double-checking that the save on the wii is gone, re-copying the save file to your SD care, rebooting your wii, and trying again. That isn't much help, but that is all I can think of in your situation. The save is working great for me.

I have no idea what to say. When i did what i said to do before it worked for me. It must be a deeper problem.
Don't worry, i'll try to regain the file that i made and post it here. Hopefully it will work for you.

Here's what you have to do to get the correct folder (it's even color coded for you guys):
1. Take an already existing folder like the one that ijunaid has provided (Blue)
2. Take the folder named "private" out of the zippered ijunaid folder and put that in your sd card
3. Take the save provided in this thread (Red)
4. Just like you did with the ijunaid folder, take the folder named "RMCE" out of the zippered RMCE folder
5.got to private/wii/title and delete that RMCE
6. put your NON-zippered RMCE folder you got in step four, and put it where the RMCE folder used to be in private/wii/title
7. now that folder should like like this:
private/wii/title/RMCE/data,ds. store,read me
That's the folder that should definitely work, ask if you need me to be clearer on any of the steps and i'll edit it.
P.S. There should be absolutely NO zippers in the finished folder. If there is, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS MORE CAREFULLY.
P.S.S. the only things that should have been deleted are the empty ZIPPERED ijunaid folder, the empty ZIPPERED RMCE folder, and the NON-zippered RMCE folder.

Yeah I'm having the same problem too, the game save shows up in SD card, but they say "You must play the game once..." which i already did, and deleted my old save.
I'm using modded ntsc-u 3.2U

i don't know what to say. i've heard of this problem before but i don't know what to do. Infact, i think I might have run into this problem once a LONG time ago with some other game, but it was WAY to long ago to remember. I think you might have to play the game, make a nother save file, then delete that and copy the hacked save. Basically, I'm saying to play the game one more time.
It would probably be a good idea NOT to shut off your wii at any time during this process, just so it knows you played the game once.
P.S. I'm not saying this will work, I'm just giving you my best guess, so...

Will this erase all my current miis saved games?
And if so, is there any way to create a new single me with this save file.........and still keep the other mii profiles we have?
Sorry if this has been answered already.
Thanks,
Shaun

This worked perfect, online and all...
I did make sure to load up Mario Kart once before deleting the old save game and coping over the new.
This may help those getting the "you must play game once" error.

You can change the Mii on your license if you want to use a different Mii. Just go to your license's settings and change the Mii.
